Island of Flowers

Travel time from Tivat: 10 minutes. Recommended package: 2 hours.

The Island of Flowers, also known as Prevlaka, is located directly beside Tivat. Strictly speaking, it is no longer an island: a narrow sandy isthmus connects it to the shore.

What Is There

A pine grove, a beach and the Monastery of St Michael the Archangel. The monastery has a long history dating back to the twelfth century and is now home to a small community.

The surrounding water is shallow and warms earlier than elsewhere in the bay. People swim here in May and early June while other coves are still cool.

Who It Suits

This is the shortest route on our list. It is ideal when time is limited, for families with young children, or as an addition to a sightseeing trip around the bay.

We often combine it with a cruise past Stoliv and a return along the Tivat waterfront.
