Žanjice Bay

Travel time from Tivat: about 1.5 hours. Recommended package: 6 hours.

Žanjice lies on the outer side of Luštica opposite Mamula Island. It is one of those bays best reached by water: the overland route follows an unpaved road through olive terraces.

Why It Is Special

• the pebble beach keeps the water clear even at the height of the season;
• the bay is sheltered from waves on three sides;
• the seabed slopes gently, making it suitable for children and less confident swimmers;
• the rocks around the edges of the bay are excellent for snorkelling.

How the Stop Works

The boat anchors in the bay and we lower the swimming ladder. You can swim directly from the boat or reach the shore, where there are several cafés. We usually stay for forty minutes to an hour.

Masks and snorkels are available on board, with life jackets for everyone. Children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult.
